Rehabilitation stores on the move14/11/05 Storing and despatching around 10,000 items of equipment will soon become an easier task for rehabilitation stores when it moves to the basement of Pohutukawa House. The shift, from the ground floor of Pohutukawa House, is scheduled for 16 November. The new, purpose-built premises include a sophisticated shelving system, an area designated for cleaning equipment, a new washing machine and dryer and a workshop area. Rehabilitation stores project owner Jane Wilson says it will be business as usual during the three-day move. Around 200 of the items held by rehabilitation stores are currently overdue, and the public is being asked to return these or arrange for an assessment for long-term equipment loan. |
